China imposes sanctions on US that reminds red lines

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has imposed counter-sanctions on seven US military companies and related senior executives due to recent military aid and arms sales to Taiwan.

China said in a statement that the US actions seriously violate the one-China principle and three China-US joint declarations, interfere in China’s internal affairs, and undermine China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In accordance with Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 15 of the Countering Foreign Sanctions Law of the People’s Republic of China, China has taken counter-measures against seven companies, namely Insitu, Inc., Hudson Technologies Co., Saronic Technologies, Inc., Raytheon Canada, Raytheon Australia, Aerkomm Inc., and Oceaneering International, Inc., and related senior executives.

The movable and immovable properties of these companies and other assets in China will be frozen. The statement states that all organizations and individuals in China will be prohibited from engaging in transactions, cooperation and other activities with these companies.
