In the written statement made by the Ukrainian Presidency, it was stated that Zelensky signed the ‘decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions on 5 Ukrainian oligarchs’.
In the statement, which noted that the decision entered into force, it was stated that sanctions were imposed on former President Poroshenko, as well as politicians, opposition figures and ‘oligarchs’ on the grounds that they pose a threat to Ukraine’s security.
In the statement, it was pointed out that the sanctions stipulate articles such as depriving these people of Ukrainian state insignia and other awards and blocking their assets.
According to the statement, in addition to Poroshenko, sanctions were imposed on Viktor Medvedchuk, Igor Kolomoysky, Gennady Bogolyubov and Konstantin Jevago.
